Instruction Manual of The Angle Inspection Instrument
of Valves and Pipe Fittings.
This instrument is suitable for inspecting the angle of
valves and pipe fittings whose thread angle between axes(45¡°,90¡°and180¡°).Its
adventages is precise inspecting result; easily operating;the
audi-visual reading and widely using,etc.It's fit for
the malleable fittings which standards is GB/T3287-2000(eqv
ISO49:1997).
1, The Range of Measurement To measure the specification:1/8-4 inch fittings.
It's according to the 5.7 item of GB/T3287-2000¡¡(eqv
ISO49:1997)standards.The measurement error is¡Ñ0.5¡°.
2, The Technical Data
(1) When to measure 90¡°angle ,the theoretical distance
between the positioning block center of the leading screw
and the fixed measuring gauge is A=68.75mm
(2) When to measure 180¡°angle ,the theoretical distance
between the crossarm positioning block center of the leading
screw and the fixed measuring gauge is A1=17.189mm(suitable
to inspect small pipe fittings.) A2=34.377mm(suitable
to inspect the big pipe fittings.)
(3) When to measure 45¡°angle ,the theoretical distance
between the oblique positioning block center of the leading
screw and the fixed measuring gauge is A=68.75mm.

4, How to Use This Instrument
(1) To calibrate the instrument's zero setting. Before
measuring the workpieces,the block of 45¡°,90¡°must
be calibrated to zero setting.To thread the measuring
head onto the hole of workpieces, unfasten the fixed screw
of leading screw 1,turn the up-and ¨Cdown nut of leading
screw 2.Adjusting the leadingscrew to the required measuring
height i.e. When the workpieces is near the column of
the leading screw,the surface of the measurement head
is the middle of the positioning block 5,(e.g.to measure
180¡°thread angle, put the crossarm center in the
center hole of the measuring head) then fasten the fixed
screw of leading 1, Let the square of the gauge calibration
12 contact the whole surface of measuring the positioning
block(according to the requirements put the block under
the square of gauge calibration)(figure 1), On this set
the measurement gauge to zero unfasten it .Remember reading
of the small gauge on it .To finish the adjustment .and
to move the square of gauge calibration and begin to measure
the workpieces.
(2)
To measure 45¡°and 90¡°angle. Screw the measuring
head into the two ends of the fittings.
The end contacts foundation plate,the other end contacts
the measuring position block (Fig.2). Not allowance for
gaps. Read the value of the gauge. According to the value
table (see table 1),we can determine the angle toleranceof
the workpieces.

To measure 180¡°angle. Screw the measuring head into the
two ends of the fittings.
(Fig.3).
The end contact the foundation plate,the other end's positioning
center is against the center of the measuring head.(while
measuring small pipe fittings. The measuring gauge is
positioned A1,if the pipe fittings is large one, it is
positioned A 2 at this time turn the pipe fitting a cycle,
judge the pipe fittings angle tolerance by the largest
reading of the gauge.(see table 1)

5, The Maintenance
(1) While using the instrument ,it should be in a dry
ventilated place, if not it may be rusty.
(2) Don't knock or hit while using .the working surface
should not bemarked.
(3) The center,the leading screw,the measuring position
block,and the foundation plate,surface should be cleaned
up by gasoline,then put the anti-rust oil.
(4) The thread of the leading screw should be lubricated.
(5) After using ,it should be covered to prevent the
dust so as to keep the measuring precision.
(6) We can supply the training without expenses.
